I don't know if it has been officially documented anywhere, but it has been mentioned numerous times in all kinds of discussions all over the Internet. Of course, those may be hard to find. The one place I know it has been documented (a bit of shamel
Even in exceptional cases destructors must not raise exceptions, or if there is a code that might raise exception in destructor it must be handled inside destructor and must not escape out.Exceptions that escape destructors cause memory leaks. You ca
Absolutely... in above scenario objects should be released only in finally block. I shouldn't comment and eat at the same time... I just skipped reading the whole exception block
Without commenting on try...except block which usage solely depends on use case (you don't always want to handle exception ant that particular point) above code is broken. I don't know what you mean by setting variables to nil in case of exception...
There is one misconception going around in various comments.In Delphi destructors SHOULD NOT throw exceptions, EVER. The whole Delphi memory management is built on top of that premise. Destructors that can throw exceptions are broken and must be fixe

Thanks! With New Feature issue type distinguishing real bugs from feature requests would be much easier.
Can we expect more Issue types added? For instance New Feature.
Generally, screen DPI should not have effects of printing. Posting some code that exhibits the problem would be useful.
Windows 8.1 has introduced per-monitor dpi awareness and that is most likely the source of your problem. You have made your apps DPI-aware, but they are not per-monitor DPI aware. Adding following section in your app manifest will make app per-monitor DPI aware.
<asmv3:application>
<asmv3:windowsSettings xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SMI/2005/WindowsSettings">
<dpiAware>true/PMdpiAware>
asmv3:windowsSettings>
asmv3:application>
You can read more at http://stackoverflow.com/q/26852150/4267244
But please note that Delphi VCL and FMX do not support per-monitor DPI and if you mark your app as per-monitor DPI aware you will have to process WM_DPICHANGED message and rescale your forms at runtime https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dn312083(v=vs.85).aspx
VCL and FireMonkey lack Per-Monitor DPI support for Windows 8.1 (and Windows 10) quality.embarcadero.com/browse/RSP-9679

Exe files built with XE3 should run fine on windows 10. I tested Delphi 4, 5, 7, and XE4 applications on Windows 10. If there are any issues they will occur because of your specific application code, and not because XE3 apps would not run in general. Without testing your apps under Windows 10, you cannot be 100% sure they will run properly.
I am also using Delphi 7 and XE4 under Windows 10 without any issues. XE3 should run fine too.

Some ongoing modifications on this site have undesired effects.
Who is online now shows user login instead of name and thus leaking email addresses of users that use them for login. Please, revert that ASAP.
Remember me on login page no longer works. I have to login every single time I reopen browser.
And feature request that has already been mentioned several times, but here it goes again: please show full name including surname for users (or add additional filed that would allow us to customize in account settings). It is hard to know to who is who if only first name is shown.

Unfortunately, this is correct. You need subscription for almost all bug fixes.

IMDB spam is finally gone, but India packers and movers that were just next to that are still here.
It is not like there is a million posts here. Why is it so hard for company, that is not one man band, to look after their web site, go through messages and promptly remove spam.

It is ridiculous, isn't it.
I am afraid that those capable of removing spam (and answering your question) are not visiting here otherwise they would have already removed it ;-)
