Hi Stacey,

The main difference in the 2 notations is the manner in which optional relationships are depicted. IE (Crows Feet) shows optional relationships with a dashed line, while the Martin notation utilizes a solid line whether the relationship is optional or not. Within ER/Studio, I prefer to use the IE (Crow's Feet) notation due to this distinction.
