Hello,

I have been banging my head on the wall with this.

I want to allow users to rearrange a set of 32 panel controls (which are in turn contained in ScrollBox control) as per their requirements.

How can I do this?

TIA

Yogi Yang 007 created a new topic ' How to have a common event for a set of controls?' in the forum. 5 years ago

Hello,

I am trying to use one common event for a set of controls which are going to be added dynamically.
Now the event is getting connected with dynamically added controls is also getting fired appropriately but I am not able to detect as to which control fired it.

For example. I have a collection of check boxes. All of these are wired to the same event.

Now when a user clicks on a checkbox, if it is checked rest of the check boxes should get unchecked.

In the same way I have an image control which is created dynamically and loaded with an Image. Now when a user clicks on the image I want to load the original image in a dialog window in a large size. But I am not able to detect as to which control was clicked on so I cannot find out as to which image I have to load in the dialog.

How to solve this problem.

TIA

Hello,

I have a need to programs feature in Graphics32 (VCL) to add support for Adjustment Layer just like what is provided in Photoshop.

If a user want to make any correction to an Image, The user will add a Layer called Adjustment Layer make necessary corrections. Once this is done all the Layer which are under the Adjustment Layer will automatically show up as per the corrections applied to the Adjustment Layer.

Please give guidelines as to how we can implement this?

TIA

I have never used ICE. But I have tired my hands on four protection systems all of which are probably built in Delphi itself!
1. Win License
2. Enigma Protector
3. Obsidium
4. Mirage All in One Protector (very expensive)
All of these are available for 32 and 64 Bit applications.
Hope this helps you get started.

Hello All,
After a very long time I am posing here.
I have developed a desktop application. In this application I want to access information stored on a remote web server.
I figured that for this I will have to use web services on the server. The server is running on CentOS and supports PHP.
I want help and ideas as to how should I build services in PHP and consume them in my application.
TIA,

Yogi Yang 007 created a new topic ' How smooth is development of iOS apps....' in the forum. 8 years ago

Dear All,

I am personally getting interesting in using either AppMethod or XE8 for developing Android and iOS apps.

But before I proceed I would like to know as to how smooth is the process of building iOS.

What is the lowest processor architecture supported by both of these?

Is it possible to build for Arm6 and Arm7 iPhone and iPad architectures?

What is the practical experience for ease of development?

There are many question.

TIA

Yogi Yang 007 created a new topic ' AppMethod - How to build Android app to run in BG' in the forum. 8 years ago

I am trying my hands on AppMethod.

Before I actually start out I wanted to know if it is possible to build an app in Android that will run in back ground and preform certain activities on given date at given time.

Let me explain in greater details.

I am building an app that will store and manage appointments for a consultant.

A day before the appointment date the app should SMS the client of this consultant regarding their meeting.

For this I will have to build an app that will fun in background and use minimum resources of the phone.

Would building such app be practically feasible in AppMethod?

I would like to clear my stand that I have never doubted Delphi and its power but this is AppMethod a Delphi clone that generates app for various mobile platforms I am quite uncertain of its possibilities and power.

TIA

No doubt the efforts put in by EMBD are just great. But after reading all the reviews in this post I felt that most of the developers praising XE7 either have not used any other dev tools or are speaking a lie to make you feel good. There are many tool
