I think they're working hard on it. The technical problems with the forums have been a known issue for a long time, and it's good that there's a new solution (this one) even though I think it needs work, it will get better!

These new forums have some strange behaviour with regards to threads:
1. When I post on an old thread, it auto-bumps the thread to the top of the forum.
2. But when I click on that recently bumped thread, it shows me only the old messages first. The new post on that thread could be on page 5 or 10.
I am not sure what to say other than that the combination of 1 and 2 above render the forums useless to me.
Either don't auto-bump threads, or have the thread display the most recent messages first, or don't have threads, just messages.
As an example look at the thread here called "Where has the old forum disappeared".

There are now 20 pages of messages. This whole paging approach is really quite rubbish, and reminds me of web-forum-designs of the late 1990s.
For an example of a web forum design done better-than-1998, look at this:

I totally agree. And there were specific forums before for Component Authors, for Third Party Component Discussions, and a dozen other really useful sub-forums beneath it.

Probably this belongs in the Application Development forums. I am not sure what exactly you are trying to build, but I suspect that you need to make a demo and show some screenshots.

1. I think the NEW POST button should be on the bottom left and look like a button, instead of being hidden on the right under the "SUB MENU" heading.
2. The headings look like buttons, and the buttons look like headings. Except when they don't. Pick a style and stick with it, instead of confusing people.
3. I think maybe we need more sub-forums. There's an installation forum (under General? why?) and then there are a few very broad development forum titles and I guess tags are used instead of having separate forums by language (C++,Delphi) or for AppMethod versus Rad Studio.
