Friday, December 24 - Christmas Eve - it's quiet in the house, and the servers are humming.
One more day to go until the big man in the red suit visits our houses and delivers great software tools and geek gifts for us all to enjoy. I probably won't be able to keep from blogging about all the great stuff and food. Before I leave the computer on this wonderous eve, I thought I would write "A Developer's Night Before Christmas" poem. Have a great evening everyone!

It was cloudy and raining in Santa Cruz tonight. There were times when the clouds were not as thick and I could take a couple of shots of the lunar eclipse. These two are not great (I need to make sure the manual focus is set correctly for my telephoto lens), but at least it shows the orange moon.
I alternated between watching the live lunar eclipse video from Coca Cola Space Science Center at Columbus State University and going outside to see if there was a break in the clouds comin...
December 17 - 8 days to go - Android client connected to Delphi XE DataSnap Server, the Developer Twelve Days of Christmas
Eight short days until that big guy in red suit, red had and white beard arrives at developer's houses all over the world. There's not much time left to buy your developer friends that special Embarcadero Product gift. When you give them the one gift, you are actually giving them two gifts with our Buy One Get One Free promotion.

December 8: Pascal Programming for Schools, Migrating Delphi Applications to Delphi XE and John Lennon
Each day brings us closer to Christmas and the end of 2010. There is still plenty of time to update your skills and your versions of our developer tools before the year ends. Today, in particular, is one of those (sadly) memoriable days. Where were you on December 8, 1980 when you heard that John Lennon had been killed?
Pascal Programming for Schools
Marco Cantu recently blogged about ...
It's that developer time of year:
Time to complete those end of year programming projects
Time to purchase some special holiday geek gifts
Time to think about at least one day off
It is time to count down the days until Christmas. Each day I will uncover a new piece of information for developers.
December 1: Buy One Get One Free (BOGO)
With each qualifying Embarcadero product you buy between now and the end of the year, you can choose a second Embarcadero product of equal or les...
On June 18, 1985 I joined Borland International in Scotts Valley California. It was great to come to a developer tools and software company. It is a special treat to be able to work on developer tools and be a developer. 25 years have passed and they have all been great years. There have been some ups and downs, some changes (of company names and addresses in Scotts Valley). One thing has stayed in the same place (besides me) - the drive to continually improve, enhance and simplify this th...
I won't try to fool anyone on this day. There are enough blog posts and news items with fantastic claims. I will say to all developers, happy start of a new month and a new quarter. Instead of the foolishness, I give you the following links to some of the best computer, office, geek and technical April fools day jokes that others have played.

Esther has written a wonderful article on Computerworld's Development site. She highlights 11 programming techniques that developers sent her after she posted a request on FaceBook and otehr sites asking developers to send in their thoughts. The article ...
