FireMonkey in Hoofddorp (NL) and Prague (CZ) Go FireMonkey! That seems to be my motto recently. On the road again. Yesterday I was doing RAD Studio XE2 / Delphi XE2 / FireMonkey event in Hoofddorp in the Netherlands and it was big fun! Today I was presenting in Prague and probably for the first in a regular cinema:-) Everybody gets it! You only need to know one thing! Use Delphi or C++ to create native, compiled, super fast and super great looking application for multiple platforms from the very same source code! After la...

FireMonkey Classic "Deep Space" Starfield Simulation in 3D Yesterday I was playing with implementing "parallax" starfield simulation in a Delphi XE2 iOS HD project as documented here. To be honest at the beginning my plan was to implement a classic "deep space" starfield simulation, but could not find any code samples, so decided to go for a simpler "parallax" approach. I have posted my demo internally for other Embarcadero technical evangelists to enjoy and got back almost instantaneous feedback from David I: "Looks like falling rain. Was hoping for...
A Cool Parallax Starfield Simulation Using FireMonkey There is nothing like writing demo projects. Whenever I see an interesting piece of code, does not really matter in which language, I'm thinking about moving it to Delphi. Delphi XE2 is all about cross-platform and mobile development, so "moving to Delphi" specifically means for me these days "moving to Delphi iOS mobile app". Every framework and every language is different, so at one level it is about understanding syntactic difference between programming languages, and at the other level it...

FireMonkey Strikes Back! I'm back from Philips High Tech Campus in Eindhoven where Embarcadero Benelux was hosting the event on creating Mac and mobile iOS applications with Delphi XE2 and FireMonkey. It was my first time to demonstrate deploying FireMonkey applications to physical devices: my new iPad and my iPhone. With "TScaledLayout" component it was possible to have one application that looked great on different screen sizes. That was a very good fun! It was not a completely standard event. We had a gues...

Reflection for Mac Just bought this brilliant piece of software - http://www.reflectionapp.com/ Now I can demo iPhone/iPad apps on the Mac without cables. It works over AirPlay with no software needed on the iPhone/iPad. Works with iPhone 4S and iPad 2+. I've already made sure that Camtasia can screen record the iPad screen on the Mac as well. Looking forward to using this in upcoming webinars!...

MathViz for iOS updated and free for two days! MathViz 1.1 update has been approved. I added gesture support and a reset button. Pardon me while I play around and get a feel for how pricing campaigns work... ;) MathViz 1.1 is free for two days. I believe I exhausted the potential for new customers (without doing any marketing) so the party right now is up to just a couple of pizzas (if I do Papa Murphy's Take'n'Bake)... ;) Please feel free to download MathViz in the next couple of days while it's free. Please consider reviewing ...
