Diagnostics, System.Timespan; const maxLen = 100000000; type stip = array [1 .. maxLen] of integer; var i: integer; s: stip; Stopwatc...

Performance Improvements with SQL Server 2014 Whenever there is new model of any vehicle launched in the market, it is expected it should have some enhancements or new features which would make it superior from previous model. If the features are appealing, generally customers are positive and forthcoming to pay little more than previous model. Above theory holds good for SQL Server product as well. It is expected that SQL Server 2014 should have some new enhancements as compared to the predecessor SQL Server 2012 version. In SQL Server 20...

Styles Performance in XE3 As you I hope know, styles in FireMonkey are common FireMonkey objects, working on the level of a single control. The behavior and design of the control is defined by simple objects or graphical primitives (rectangle, ellipse, text), animation, effects and event triggers. But there is still a question. Is it effective to use such a number of objects and instantiate and load them right in the process of application startup? Yes, you’re right. Thus in the new version of FireMonkey we modified t...

Want more...Power I went to visit Mount St. Helens yesterday. Unfortunately, it was raining and we couldn't see the volcano.  We stopped at the Johnston Ridge Observatory (JRO), named for David A. Johnston.  Johnston was a USGS volcanologist who was on duty at the ridge the day Mount St. Helens exploded on May 18, 1980.  "Vancouver! Vancouver!
