Join me for "RAD in Action: FireMonkey FM2 Ready for Multi-platform Business" webinar tomorrow, Oct 24th! I feel very privileged! Tomorrow at three different time slots I'm going to present online my "RAD in Action" webinar "FireMonkey FM2 Ready for Multiplatform Business"! It lasts for about 65 minutes and is all about live demonstrations of using Delphi XE3 and C++Builder XE3 for creating different kinds of business applications with FireMonkey FM2. There are three demos that I'm building from scratch live plus a whitepaper and code samples. In the first step by step demo I'm building a native ...
Custom FireMonkey "TSimpleTriangle" component Have you ever written a component in Delphi? Reusable components are the corner-stone of rapid application development and important part of Delphi success on the market. Being able to manipulate an instance of a class at design-time is where Delphi shines! One day I was looking at mocking up a FireMonkey turn-based board game. A screen with a board and names of two opponents. Next to every name - a turn indicator with a player score and ranking. In a typical design turn indicator is a triang...
Delphi event in Romania for the first time ever! The history is happening right now, right here! I'm just back from Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Yesterday it was a pure pleasure to present "RAD Studio XE2 in Action LIVE!" to the crowd of enthusiastic developers. It looks it was the first Delphi/C++Builder event ever in Romania! The audience was very technical and positive. There was no end to questions about Delphi, C++Builder, FireMonkey, future plans for RAD Studio and many other, sometimes very low-level. The event was divid...

RAD Studio XE2 World Tour event in Luxembourg The RAD Studio XE2 in Action in Luxembourg was my last live event in person in this calendar year. If you have missed so far an opportunity to see FireMonkey and oth...

Only two weeks ago I have been showing RAD Studio XE2 in Copenhagen and now it was the second RAD Studio XE2 World Tour event in Denmark. Very big interest in FireMonkey programming, lots of questions and lots of goodies to give away;-) Next week I'm off to Croatia, for the RAD Studio XE2 launch event on October 12th (Wednesday) in the University of...

Want more...Love I am up in Hood River Oregon today for the wedding of Martha's niece.  It is a glorius day with plenty of sunshine and no clouds in sight.  During the day, we drove up to Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood.  There was plenty of snow still on the mountain and people were skiing and snow boarding on the upper slopes. I saw several brides and grooms up on the mountain, obviously in love. Tonight we attended Sarah and Jeremy's wedding at the historic Columbia Gorge Hotel on the banks of the mighty Co...
