Start building iOS 7 apps today

iOS 7 support for Delphi and RAD Studio XE5 is now ready and available for download.

Screenshots show MobileControls demo with iOS 7 UI.

Delphi XE5 Pro with mobile and RAD Studio XE5 customers can download the iOS 7 update via the registered users section.

The iOS 7 Update installer provides iOS 7 style support at design time and runtime. Before running the installer, you will need to make sure that you have either Delphi or RAD Studio XE5 installed on your system.
After the installation is complete, you will see a drop-down menu in the IDE next to iPhone/iPad to toggle between the iOS 6 and iOS 7 style at design time.

At runtime, the iOS 7 style will automatically be shown if your application is running on an iOS 7 device.

If you have the IDE open during the install, you will need to close and restart the IDE after the update.

Below are some screenshots of what you will see in the IDE:

While the iOS7 SDK is not required to build and run on iOS7, it is recommended that you build against the iOS 7 SDK to take advantage of the updated iOS 7 native controls such as the keyboard, date picker etc.

If the app is running on an iOS 6 device, the iOS 6 style will be shown. If the app is running on an iOS 7 device, the iOS 7 style will be shown.
