RAD Studio XE8 Launch in Brno today was great!

Just sitting at the Prague airport waiting for my flight home after an excellent RAD Studio XE8 launch event in Brno (Czech Republic) today. There was almost one hundred - primarily - male, Delphi, VCL developers gathered to see what's new and hot in XE8.

The energy was good and there was a lot of positive feedback around what Embarcadero is doing for Delphi and C++Builder. Obviously the biggest fun was building a Delphi app that is using new "TBeacon" component for proximity awareness! The Enterprise Mobility Services and InterBase XE7's "Change Views" were also received very positively.

Czech developers liked new IDE productivity enhancements with AppAnalytics, Castalia integration, GetIt, migrationtool, version control and unit testing improvements.

It is always fun to come here and have some delicious Czech beer and traditional "knedliki":-)
