RAD Studio XE6 has been released!
RAD Studio XE6 contains Delphi XE6 and C++Builder XE6 and marks the completion of the vision to support building apps for all major desktop (Windows, Mac) and mobile (Android, iOS) operating systems from the same codebase: C++ and Object Pascal!
The new IDE has a new look-and-feel, it is a lot faster and has tons of new and improved features for both desktop VCL Windows and multi-platform FireMonkey programmers!

Wednesday, 16 April 2014I am an original XE user and have been waiting for this update. Imagine my disappointment to find that I can't upgrade to it! XE should have been the 'next' version to be the oldest to update from but you have skipped directly to XE2!

It has been the company policy for many years now to offer the upgrade pricing for the previous three versions, except for amnesty programs, so it is not a new thing.
At the same time I feel that XE6 is going to be such a milestone as D7 and D2007. It looks great and feels faster. And it supports the full spectrum of platforms from both C++ and Object Pascal.
The best deal is the recharge program. Initially you need to get to the most recent version, XE6 right now, and then you can move to every new release, every few months, for a fraction of a new user price.
