RAD Studio 10.2 in Paris

Posted by on in Blogs

RAD Studio 10.2 tour continues. Today I have been presenting on the full-day RAD Studio event organised by Barnsten in Paris. In the morning the presentation was around the new IDE features, including redesigned menu and Quick Edits, Linux develoment and publishing to Windows 10 Store. There was also a lot interest around IoT and specifically beacons.

What I really like in France is paying proper attention to eating. The lunch break was two hours long and included three-course, delicious meal. Great opportunity for attendees to have interesting conversations. The second part of the day was kick-started by Marion Candau, who presented TMS cryptography pack for Delphi and C++Builder. Then it was time for my second part. The focus was on RAD Server, but I have started with the demonstration of Beacon Fence, followed by database development with FireDAC and publishing REST APIs with RAD Server. Right now Grégory Bersegeay is presenting very interesting examples of game development with FireMonkey 3D.

Right after the event we are driving to Belgium for the afternoon event in Edegem. On Friday the last RAD Studio event this week for me in Bussum, The Netherlands, where Bob Swart and Danny Wind will be presenting as well.

I would love it if somebody would do this "stateside"!!! I always liked when Microsoft used to do live (not virtual) MSDN Events, but those have disappeared. Would be kinda cool if Embarcadero did a US Bus Tour hitting some of the major cities touting the benefits of RAD Studio, mobile development, etc. Might give them some traction here in the states and win some customer back!
