New in 10.2.3: FireMonkey UI Templates - Login Screens

Posted by on in UI

Delphi and RAD Studio 10.2.3 include 18 new FireMonkey UI templates, designed to highlight FMX's multi-device capabilities, showcase best practices, and help new users get started quicker. They showcase UI paradigms that mobile application developers need in today’s applications.

This blog post focuses on the three new login screen GUI templates, available for download in GetIt (Tools > GetIt Package Manager > Sample Projects). Each of the three templates uses one of the premium FireMonkey multi-platform styles.

Only the first template will be auto-opened after installing a GUI template, but you can access the other two templates by navigating to C: \ Users \ Public Documents \ Embarcadero \ Studio \ 19.0 \ Samples \ Object Pascal \ Login Screens

The sample images in this post are not showing for me..?

That is an on-going problem. The images (when attached) are served from an HTTP server - while the community site is served from an HTTPS server - that makes the content "mixed" - and some browsers refuse (due to settings) to load information that is not secure in this mixed environment.

Well, maybe in this case, it is a permission issue: the getit image does show it comes from HTTPS

Are these templates available yet Sarina?

They do not appear in GetIt as far as I can see an the sample applications you mention above do not exist. In fact, (Tools > GetIt Package Manager > Sample Applications) doesn't exist but (Tools > GetIt Package Manager > Sample Projects) does...is there an update to GetIt that I am missing?

    Hi Andy,
Yes, they are. You can find them in the Sample Projects category on GetIt, not the Sample Applications category on GetIt. Apologies for the confusion, I have updated my post.

    Regards,
    Sarina

Are we agreed that these ARE NOT available for C++ Builder users? They are Delphi only despite all the marketing material that states they are for "Delphi, C++Builder and RAD Studio 10.2.3"

    Hi Sarina,

    They are not visible to me from C++ Builder. There are 8 Sample Projects;

Card Panel Demo, Mars Rocket, Multiview Navigation Demo, Photo Editor Demo, REST Demo, Rocket Ship Delta, Space Rocks, Tab Slide.

That's it. There is nothing else in there.

Are they not available for C++?

    Hi Andy,
In early June we also released the C++ versions. Some of them are also featured on the Welcome Page in the IDE. Please see https://community.embarcadero.com/blogs/entry/creating-great-uis-with-c-builder-and-firemonkey-app-templates for more info on the C++ versions of the 18 FMX GUI Templates.
