iOS Notification problem
I've been trying to get notifications to work on iOS project.
When I run the project on windows, I get notifications perfectly fine.
But when I run it, the application shows up and everything, but when i press the button, nothing happens. I've tried debugging, and it seems to work fine, there are no error messages or anything.
under the "Present the Notification Message Immediately".
I'm using a trial version of RAD studio, on a windows 10 virtual machine that is running on Mac with macOS Sierra.
The iPhone is an iPhone 6.
Would be fantastic if someone could nudge me in the right direction!
For other developers with same problem;
It seems to be a strange issue regarding the iOS and active app's.
iOS do not show notification if the application is active. Try schedule an notification for 10 seconds and hide your app with the "home" button, then the notification shows in Notification Center and it works perfectly.
Yes, the notification is enabled. Everything is working as intended except the notifications.
I've tried other sample projects, like the gyroscope, and camera etc, but the notification doesnt work.
If you go to Settings on your iOS device and select the FireMonkey app you deployed, are notifications enabled for it?
Thank you for the reply!
But no, I do not see the notification in the iOS notification center, the same thing happens when I tried the pre-built demo. Nothing.
When I press the button, I see that the button is pressed, but nothing shows up.
At the start of the app, I get a message asking if I want to allow notifications from this app, and of course, I pressed allow.
Do you see the notification in the iOS notification center when you swipe down from the top of the screen?
You can access the pre-built local notification demo here:
