Installer and licensing

0

I see QA is still as bad as ever.

The installer tells me the first time I have no license. I have 10.1 Berlin Update 2 installed, it's working fine. So I try again, it installs the second time.

I cannot run the licensing tool. Great product guys, this issue has been in this product how many years now?

Why should I renew my subscription for such a poorly maintained product?

Hello Pete - Assuming you are trying to install 10.2 Tokyo on the same machine as you 10.1 Berlin, that should be OK.

This page provides important information that you must know before you install Delphi 10.2 Tokyo, C++Builder 10.2 Tokyo, or RAD Studio 10.2 Tokyo:   http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStudio/Tokyo/en/Installation_Notes

If you have an active Update Subscription Plan:

    • If you have a previous version of RAD Studio installed on your machine with that Update Subscription Plan, the installation wizard automatically detects your license.
    • Otherwise, you can register your new RAD Studio installation using the same serial number as your previous version of RAD Studio that is part of your Update Subscription Plan.
