Error when trying to run the application on the network instead of the local machine

0

I am currently converting old delphi code to Delphi 10.2.  It is using FireDac object - referencing oracle client.  The goal is to copy the executable to the network so that all the users can run the application from the share drive instead of copying it to their local machine.  When I tried to run the executable, I am getting connection error.  Not sure if it is because the oracle client is on the user's local machine not on the network so this way of execution will not work.

Please advise.

Thank you.

The obvious thing to check is that the specification of the Oracle database link in the FireDAC component is correct for your "over the network" connection.

You will need Architect or Enterprise version to run your code with the database connection over a network.

Thank you Roger.  I will check the FireDAC setting again.  I am running Enterprise version.
